About SSMS

Teen mental health is a major crisis in the United States, Saying Something Means Something was created to empower teens to feel their best and speak up in times of need. Our goal in combatting this crisis is to inspire those who are in need of a pick me up, and to make our community a better place. SSMS does this by sharing other teens experiences, offering resources for teens in need, and providing care bags to teens placed in psychiatric care units.

Founder

Sami Christou is a San Clemente High School student who is very involved in her community. She plays on the golf team, is a part of link crew at her school, and loves to travel. Sami has had some amazing times as a teenager but has also been affected by her mental health. She wanted to take her own experience and turn in into something that could help other teens going through a similar time.
